Happy New Day!

RoadFor those of us who are resistant to making promises we can’t keep, may I suggest a new type of resolution; a New Day resolution.

The truth is that every moment presents us with the opportunity to make different choices: a yes instead of a no, a smile for a scowl, a carrot in lieu of a Twinkie.

Instead of waiting for tomorrow or next year or a rainy day or the right moment….catch yourself today when making any decision and ask:

What do I choose right now?
Will this choice bring me closer to who or where I want to be?

If not, congratulations!  You can make a different choice.

So whether you’re 18 or 81, tall or short, rich or not so much, Happy New Day!  Today, and tomorrow and …..

A Brand New Day
Alive, the story
I do tell
begins the very
I open eyes
to see
my heart’s
I walk alive
when listening
to the story
I do tell
with the
way I do
express my
my word,
my love
that dwells
all else
aligns, and
I am
to live
in joy
and hunger
each moment
of the
to shine
my light
